Annual Angel Tree Drive
In collaboration with the Linden Public Schools Student Services Department, delivered 65 gifts this past Christmas holiday season which was delivered to various schools from pre-K to high school in Linden. The department works with low income, single parents, foster kids and any student in need of assistance in the Linden area.
11 children were gifted from Morning Star Community Christian Center and a Christmas party was held for them. More than 7 children received gifts collected from the Angel Tree; the others that received a gift as well. The party was fun and everyone had a great time. Additional gifts were distributed to children in the Morning Star Community Christian Center childcare.
Food Pantry & Soup Kitchen
The pantry is open on the third Wednesday and Saturday, monthly from 11:00am – 1:00pm.

We provide cooked and uncooked food to low-income residents and families in need.
Operation Warm Heart
A temporary, overnight, emergency shelter for the homeless that provides a warm bed, a hot meal, fellowship and social services to our most vulnerable population. This program is housed on the first and third Sunday evenings during the winter season. It is run solely on the kindness of volunteers and donations from Morning Star.
The Joseph Project
Is a mentoring program for pre-teens boys whose mission is to coach boys into manhood.
Abuse & Recovery Program
Weekly meetings and open discussions relating to all types of addictions – alcoholism, mental illness, abuse and trauma, gambling and co-dependency, etc.
